This blog contains thoughts, ideas, and links to various projects and media that I create. I've also carried over relevant content from years of blogging and continue to provide content relative to Sociology.

Centraal Station Antwerpen gaat uit zijn dak!
This video was sent to me by student John Dixon. This highlights items similar to contagion theory and collective behavior.
A similar phenomenon to this video here is called "flash mobs". Read a bit from wikipedia here.
A highly popular flash mob can be seen here, and here.
I would LOVE to do something like this but alas, all of my friends are too self-conscious to do anything this rad. I watched all the links and I loved the "Sound of Music" and the and the frozen flash mobs the best. Thanks you posting these :)
These videos were hilarious! I loved them. I think it'd be cool to be apart of something like this. I don't feel like it could happen here, with Owensboro being such a small town. Your right Reny...everyone gets embarrassed and is too worried about what others think. I really liked the "Sound of Music" one the best!
There is nothing to keep you or anyone else in the big "O" from organizing a flash mob. You might not 200 peeps like in a big city, but counting people on twitter and FF I bet you could end up with 20-30.
Ijust got a chance to watch this, It was wonderful. I just wonder if a group of soc student got together and did this, say at the bar b que fest could it mean extra credit??? It would be an interesting experiment and loads of fun for those brave enough to be different...
